Im trying to gather routes for Fun Runs in the SoCal area. Below are some of the more memorable routes to have fun on. If you would like to add a route drop me a line at 911urge@ciborg.net

My plan is to add not only text directions but also a graphic of the route along with GPS route files that can be uploaded to various GPS units (TomTom is what I use).

What you will not find are common routes such Mulhulland Dr or Malibu as these routes are heavily patrolled by local authorities due to the high traffic. 

 Below are some good runs I have personally been on and enjoyed. 

• TRE 2008 New Years Fun Run
  • Approx 104 miles through the Angeles National Forest
  • Twisty mountain roads, sections of long straights

  • Approx 41 miles starting in Upland, CA and ending in Azusa CA
    • Dont let the distance fool you - its a very windy road

The following roads should be avoided for any type of Fun Runs due to high traffic, poor conditions and police activity:

• Mulhulland Dr
• Sunset Blvd
• Kanan Dune Rd
• Ortega Hwy
